About

I’m a photographer with 27 years of experience serving clients in the Editorial, Corporate and Educational fields.

I began working as a professional photographer in 1982, working full-time for various newspapers in the Washington, D.C. area.  In 1986, I began to free-lance in the Editorial / Corporate market, where I continue today.  Since those early days, my work has appeared in many national and international publications including; The Washington Post, Newsweek, Time, USA Today, AP, Agence France Presse, Corbis, NCAA Photos and for corporations such as Marriott, Norfolk Southern, American Express, Tehabi Books, Zondervan Publishing and CBS Television.

I photograph championship events for the NCAA and work alongside many private schools, colleges and universities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

My photos have been used in educational textbooks and featured in coffee-table books such as; America 24/7, Virginia 24.7, Sunday in America and prominenly featured in NASCAR’s 50th. anniversary book; Thunder in America.

I have one self-published book; Martinsville Speedway: Half-Mile of Thunder, which captures a year of races at NASCAR’s smallest, storied track
