OBAMA INAUGURATION

January 19th, 2010

It’s been one year since Barrack Obama’s inauguration, and it seems as if he’s losing the luster he enjoyed on that “Historic ” day.  As a photographer I felt inclined to go and take pictures, but since I was not on an assignment, I went with an open mind and decided to just look for images that came to me.

After walking around a little, I saw what I wanted to capture.  There in front of me, hundreds of portraits of people in awe over their 44th President.  It was something of a coronation, and it showed in the peoples faces.  So as a way of looking back, here are some of the photos from that day.

The shine of that day is slowly wearing away today as we see the “soft socialism”  (Progressive Movement – http://www.heritage.org/Research/Thought/fp12.cfm) that’s being implemented in the country, I recall a conversation that I had with my mother before she passed away. Watching Obama give a speech during the primaries, she turned to me and said.  ” I’ve heard this before.  When Castro came down from the mountains.” The only difference, he didn’t disguise his preference for socialism.
